Welcome to Friends of Seymour, Tennessee's community space - the Library! More than a collection of books and periodicals, we provide a gathering place for a community without a town hall, computer access for students, researchers, and job seekers, as well as engaging programs for all ages PLUS a cozy reading area! Happily serving Sevier, Knox, and Blount Counties.

So many things are happening at the library! Here is a list of recurring gatherings.* Sign up for our newsletter to see more!

Acoustic Jam
Second Monday 6:30-8pm
Gather in the Community Room with your acoustic instrument - or bring your voice! All skill levels are welcome and event is free. Bring a song you would like to share with the group. See you there!
Stitches of Love
Tuesdays 1-3pm
Stitches of Love is a group of ladies who meet weekly in Seymour, TN, while knitting and crocheting and give their beautiful items to different groups in need of these items.
Family Cookbook Club
First Thursday 5:30-7pm
Come join us! This club is open to families of all ages and sizes who want to share their love of cooking. Each family will bring a themed meal to share, along with copies of the recipe, taken from a cookbook of their choosing.
Chair Exercise
Most Mondays 6:30-8pm
A careful, thoughtful way to get exercise and gather with friends. CLICK HERE to download flyer for more information. Please call 865-573-0728 to register. Class size is limited. **Must sign waiver to participate.
Chess Club
First Thursday 3:30-5:30pm
We will be following the Sevier County School schedule this year. No school - no chess. Add this to your schedule and join in the fun! We teach and play. We have all levels from beginners to advanced. All ages 5-80+.
Matter of Balance
Thursdays 10:30am-12:30pm
Award winning program designed to teach older adults to manage falls and increase activity levels. Learn how to avoid falls and mitigate potential consequences. Class led by Kaysie Adkins of UT Extension Sevier County.
Story Time & Book Clubs
